Lush skincare: acne products for a great skincare routine

Acne products need to be soothing and hydrating for them to work on acne prone skin. This treats the acne without being too harsh. Products using organic cocoa butter, primrose seeds, tea tree and more will do the trick to get rid of all that acne. Read on for more

Cleanse:

Movis soap cleanser

This soap is made from extra virgin coconut oil and has a sunflower oil base. Your skin will receive a little bit of a buff from the organic cocoa butter in it. The wheat germ oil is a great moisturizer for acne prone skin. This soap bar will actually clean your face without stripping it while still leaving it soft and moisturized. Oh, and you’ll love the smell (as per usual with lush products)

This is a solid cleanser from lush so it’s pretty long lasting, simply add water and rub it between your fingers to create a soapy texture, apply to your wet face in circular motions. Note: store this in a dry area to prevent it from melting away in the water.

Exfoliate:

Ocean salt

To use you need to add water to this product. Depending on how much of polish you want you might want to add more or less water to create the thickness you prefer. Rub between your hands and apply to your skin for exfoliation. To buff away dead skin rub on your face using circular motions.

The ingredients are nourishing and soothing. They include limes steeped in vodka, salt, and grapefruit. This product is also great for softening the skin as it contains avocado butter, seaweed, and coconut oil

There are many options when buying this product, the options are: “ocean salt alcohol-free”, “ocean salt”, “ocean salt self-preserving” and “ocean salt self-preserving alcohol-free”. They vary with regards to the consistency of the product and how it’ll feel on the skin.

Face mask:

Mask of magnimity

This is a cult favorite and I can see why. The ingredients which include honey and kaolin work to nourish your skin. Your skin will receive a light exfoliation from the primrose seeds and aduki beans in this mask. The minty freshness of this mask isn’t just for the smell either, the peppermint in this mask works to stimulate blood cells under your skin’s surface. This product is not only a face mask but a body mask too.

This is perfect for acne prone skin, as well as sensitive skin, everything in the mask works to combat acne. Simply apply to your clean already washed face making sure not to get it into your eyes and mouth. You can apply this around 3 times a week to calm your skin

Toners

Tea tree water toner

Everyone needs a good toner and believe me this tea tree toner is a good toner. No, it’s a great toner. If you want something that will ensure there is no excess makeup or cleanser on your face then this is the way to go. Simply spray onto a cotton round and wipe it on your face.

The main ingredient is tea tree, we all know the wonderful benefits of tea tree (anti-fungal, antibacterial and antimicrobial all these eradicate blemish-causing bacteria). This product not only contains tea tree but grapefruit as well which is a light astringent and is packed with vitamins which nourish your skin. Your skin will be kept clear by the antiseptic properties of grapefruit.

Moisturize:

Celestial moisturizer

I know that finding a moisturizer that works on acne prone skin can be a real issue but luckily for us lush has us covered. This moisturizer is good for dealing with and eliminating redness and inflammation. It’s both hydrating and clarifying. The ingredients such as dove orchards and vitamin E soothe the skin and protect it from damage. This can also be used if some parts of your skin become oily as it mattifies the oily parts quite well.

You won’t need too much to moisturize your face and a little goes a long way especially because it’s quite thick. It soaks up easily and quickly and does not leave a greasy appearance on your skin, only a soft smooth texture.

I hope you enjoyed this article and found some lush products that you can use against acne for a great skincare routine. If you found it helpful or know someone who might enjoy it please share it.
